An open message from the chairman of the International Advisory Council
Dear Excellencies, Commissioners, Officials & Representatives,
It is with great appreciation that I offer my thanks for being selected as the chairman of this esteemed international organization.
I am deeply honored and privileged to head this organization and lead this important mission to promote quality education around the world.
7 Year Plan
Over the next 7 years, we will work closely with legitimate education accreditation agencies worldwide and promote increased dialogue and interaction between such agencies promoting education.
Combating Fake Accreditation Agencies and Unlicensed Schools around the world.
Our goal is to curb the questionable activities of fake schools and bogus accreditation agencies currently plaguing the global educational systems, especially online.
The mission of BQS is being well received by experts in the QA field and promote education.
Since the invention of the internet, illegal schools and colleges have taken up residence providing “degrees for cash” to unaware clients. Often these criminals are more adept at marketing online and can easily outperform legitimate accredited institutions.
BQS Accreditation is voluntary and open for membership only to institutions operating legally and audited with the criteria of ISO 9001:2008 .
Progress to date
• Recruitment of the Assessment Committee. 75% Complete. (Ambassadors, suitably qualified experts in accreditation and certification may email a CV)
• Database of BQS Recognized Accreditation Agencies and other bodies. Partially Complete
• Establishment of BQS participation in the UN Global Compact program. In Progress
• Creation of an 'early warning' newsletter informing Ministries of Education about latest methods employed by Degree Mills to circumnavigate legislation. Partially Complete
• BQS accredited Schools on all Continents. Partially Complete
• Organize the establishment of Special Representative and Executive Representative Offices worldwide. In Progress
With my sincerest regards.
BQS – chairman of IAC
